District Sales Manager – Central Division

Employment Type: Full-Time

Industry: Beverage – Non-Alcoholic (Natural Spring Water)

Compensation: $90,000 annually + 15,000 bonus potential+ health insurance + car allowance


Position Summary

The District Sales Manager (DSM) – Central Division is responsible for driving sales growth and execution across grocery, convenience, and distributor channels within the Central region. Reporting to the Sales Director for the Central Division, this role ensures that all assigned territories are well-informed, strategically aligned, and equipped to meet division sales goals and company objectives.

The DSM will oversee customer relationships, distributor performance, and broker execution while collaborating closely with internal cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, operations, and finance) to achieve sustainable business growth in the natural spring water category.

Geographic coverage includes: Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Indiana.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve annual case volume and revenue objectives established by executive management.
  • Develop and execute customer business plans for major grocery and C-store chains.
  • Open new accounts and expand existing distribution across retail and C-stores channels.
  • Manage and motivate brokers, distributors, and key retail partners to achieve assigned goals.
  • Evaluate sales performance by geography, account, and channel; conduct regular sales analyses and recommend strategic actions to drive growth.
  • Prepare and deliver business reviews with customers, providing actionable insights, performance summaries, and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing and senior management on programming, pricing, promotional calendars, and execution.
  • Monitor competitive activity and category trends using Nielsen/Numerator data and other analytical tools.
  • Resolve customer service and operational issues promptly in coordination with internal departments.
  • Build strong relationships with buyers, distributor partners, and broker representatives.
  • Prepare fact-based presentations, business reviews, and sell sheets for customers.
  • Represent CG Roxane professionally at trade shows, account openings, and community events.
  • Lead by example—demonstrating integrity, collaboration, and a positive, can-do attitude.

Preferred Account Experience

Experience managing or selling to regional and national customers such as: AWG (Associated Wholesale Grocers), Woodman’s Markets, Albertsons, Core-Mark, Casey’s, 7-Eleven, Smith’s, Hy-Vee, Meijer, Family Fare, D&W Fresh Market, Coborn’s, Fareway Meat & Grocery, Schnuck Markets, Fresh Thyme Market, Circle K, QuikTrip, Love’s Travel Stops, and Buc-ee’s.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of progressive experience in CPG beverage sales management.
  • Proven success in grocery and convenience channels with both distributor and direct retail customers.
  • Strong understanding of beverage and water category dynamics.
  • Experience managing budgets, trade spend, and P&L responsibility.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned region.
