Sr. Director of Operations

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Baltimore, MD (Hybrid onsite with travel to key markets)

Start Date: ASAP


Position Summary

Our partner is a bold, rapidly growing tequila brand rooted in culture, legacy, and craftsmanship — and they’re just getting started. We’re seeking a Senior Director (or VP, for the right candidate) of Operations to lead the systems, processes, and partnerships that fuel their growth.


This is a strategic, hands-on role for a collaborative operator who thrives in a startup environment. The ideal candidate has deep experience in spirits operations, understands the three-tier distribution model, and knows how to scale infrastructure while preserving brand integrity and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end operations including supply chain, logistics, fulfillment, and compliance
  • Optimize production and inventory management from distillery to distributor to retail
  • Partner with the CEO and leadership team on financial planning, forecasting, and reporting
  • Build scalable systems and processes that improve efficiency and accountability across departments
  • Manage relationships with vendors, co-packers, and distributors to ensure quality and cost control
  • Implement KPIs and performance metrics to track progress and drive team alignment
  • Lead budgeting, cost optimization, and contract negotiations to support sustainable growth
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales and marketing teams to ensure operational readiness for launches and expansions
  • Uphold brand standards and ensure alignment between production, supply, and market delivery


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced business training preferred
  • 7–10 years of operations experience in CPG, spirits, or beverage alcohol sectors
  • Deep understanding of the U.S. three-tier distribution model
  • Proven success scaling operational infrastructure in a high-growth or startup environment
  • Strong analytical and project management skills with a systems-driven mindset
  • Experience managing budgets, vendors, and supply chain logistics
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team development abilities
  • Proficiency in tools such as QuickBooks, Google Workspace, Asana, and Airtable
  • Must be 21+ years of age and authorized to work in the U.S.

Salary

Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (based on experience, plus performance bonus)
