BevNET Review:
The Pomegranate flavor of Cell-Nique was the first flavor sampled for review. The formulation, which has a massive ingredient list to back the drink's "31 fruits and vegetables," has a very raw feeling to it. There's a vegetable-like aroma to the product, which gives way to raw notes of fruits and vegetables, grain like flavors, and a light level of sweetness. Although it's hard to discern any of the individual flavors from the mix (aside from wheatgrass perhaps), including pomegranate, the drink's advertised flavor, we still found it quite enjoyable to drink. The flavor itself, which tastes like something you'd get at a health food smoothie bar, isn't the type of thing that whets your appetite, but the authentic and wholesome feeling of the drink would keep us coming back for more. It has only 84 calories and 13g of sugar per bottle and, unlike some of the bigger smoothie brands, the drink isn't loaded with filler juice. Packaging and the drink's high price tag are going to be the struggling points. While the name "Cell-nique" is clever, it sounds like something that would better suit a supplement rather than a wholesome product like this one. Otherwise, our only other thought is that USDA Organic certification would likely go a long way with the likely buyer.

Kukicha Tea
Category: Tea: Sweetened; Packaging: 12 oz bottle
BevNET Review:
Cell-nique's Kukicha Tea flavor has the most complex taste of the entire lineup. This is due, at least in part, to the nutty flavor of kukicha, a green tea blend made from the stems and stalks of green tea. This grassy tea flavor essentially overpowers the other more muted flavors of the drink. This might not be a bad thing, especially for consumers who like green tea but aren't so fond of some of the more earthy flavors in the drink. Either way, we enjoyed the Kukicha Tea variety quite a bit and it is our favorite of the Cell-nique brand. As mentioned in the other reviews, packaging is the most obvious area for improvement. In this case, the use of green tea, which is widely recognized as having health benefits, could be worked into the packaging a bit more. Still, we really love the flavor -- it's definitely the best of the line.

Apple
Category: Juice: Fruit Juice; Packaging: 12 oz bottle

BevNET Review:
The Apple flavor of Cell-nique has the strongest and most pleasant fruit flavor of the lineup. Compared to the other flavors, it actually tastes rather sweet, although it's really not when compared against other beverages. The nutritional panel is loaded with good things, including vitamin A, C, E, iron, and calcium. The same goes for the ingredients label which, like the other flavors, reads like an exotic smoothie concoction from a health food store. All in all, it's a satisfying product, both in terms of flavor and substance, which there certainly is no shortage of. Packaging is the biggest place for improvement, with the name conflicting with otherwise inviting package. In addition, we'd like to see the flavor name and associated fruit graphic placed in a more prominent location. Overall, really like the flavor and what this drink is about, but we're not convinced that the current packaging will make a splash with consumers.

Citrus Vanilla
Category: Juice: Fruit Juice; Packaging: 12 oz bottle
BevNET Review:
Of all the Cell-nique flavors, this is the only one that really tastes "flavored." The citrus and vanilla flavors give the drink a flavor that is probably best compared to a creamsicle. It's not a bad flavor per se, but it is a bit stronger than we'd like, especially since this flavor, unlike the others, comes with accent flavor first and nutritional flavors second. Packaging is, however, the most appealing of the bunch, which is the result of using a brighter, more appealing color than the other flavors. Overall, this was our least favorite of the line.
