BevNET Review: While this brand is focused on its diet variety, the regular version of Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper is a product that Dr Pepper drinkers will want to try. This product, which will hit the market October 15th in the Southwest, was formulated using a base of Dr Pepper flavor with a slight cherry taste to the body and a splash of vanilla to the finish. Overall, it's not much of a departure from the original product, but it is original and refreshing and certainly worth a try. Finally, Dr Pepper has learned from the lessons of Pepsi Blue and Vanilla Coke and plans to make this a limited run (it will be on the market for 6 months -- and only 75 days outside of the Dr Pepper "Heartland"). BevNET Review: Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper's name might sound a bit convoluted, but the formulation certainly is not. This limited run beverage is definitely one of the better tasting diet sodas to come our way as of late. Featuring a Dr Pepper flavor that is true to the original, the flavor is enhanced by the addition of the cherry and vanilla flavors. The cherry and vanilla flavors are particularly useful for covering the aftertaste of the artificial sweeteners. Overall, Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper is an excellent addition to the Dr Pepper lineup that has a full strength flavor but without the calories and carbs of a normal CSD.
