Wholesale Distribution Manager


About the Role


Equilibrium Brewery is seeking a highly organized and proactive Wholesale Distribution Manager to support and grow our wholesale business. This role is responsible for managing relationships with distributors and wholesale partners, coordinating orders and logistics, supporting sales opportunities, tracking account performance, and ensuring strong communication between our sales, production, warehouse, retail, and leadership teams.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and able to balance strategic sales development with day-to-day execution. This person must be exceptionally proficient in Google Sheets, including organizing data, maintaining live trackers, building clean reports, using formulas, and helping improve internal workflows.


Key Responsibilities


Account Management & Relationship Building


  • Maintain regular communication with wholesale partners, distributors, and key accounts.
  • Conduct ongoing check-ins by email, phone, text, and occasional in-person visits.
  • Address questions or issues related to product availability, performance, quality, and service.
  • Identify opportunities to expand placements, product mix, and volume.


Sales & Business Development


  • Pitch new releases, seasonal offerings, core products, and promotional programs.
  • Follow up consistently on open sales opportunities and partner commitments.
  • Support distributor sales teams with product education, sell sheets, POS materials, and account-level initiatives.
  • Help prospect and onboard new wholesale accounts when applicable.


Order Coordination & Logistics


  • Coordinate wholesale order intake, scheduling, pickup, and delivery timelines.
  • Communicate with distributors and partners to confirm logistics details.
  • Align with production and warehouse teams on inventory availability and readiness.
  • Troubleshoot delays, shortages, mis-shipments, and other logistics issues.


Internal Coordination


  • Serve as a communication link between wholesale, production, warehouse, taproom, retail, and leadership.
  • Help align inventory allocation between wholesale and direct-to-consumer channels.Communicate upcoming releases, inventory constraints, and sales priorities.
  • Participate in internal planning and sales alignment meetings.


Sales Tracking & Reporting


  • Track wholesale performance, including volume, product mix, inventory, trends, and account activity.
  • Maintain accurate notes and updates in internal tracking systems.
  • Monitor key accounts and flag risks, opportunities, and follow-up needs.
  • Provide clear summaries and updates to ownership and leadership.
  • Brand & Administrative SupportCoordinate POS materials, administrative documents, invoices, order follow-ups, and shipping/BOL communication.
  • Support cross-department tasks related to wholesale execution and partner success.


Requirements


  • Prior experience in sales, distribution, account management, logistics, or beverage/alcohol wholesale preferred.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts, deadlines, orders, and follow-ups at the same time.Comfortable working cross-functionally with sales, production, warehouse, retail, and leadership teams.
  • Must be proactive, accountable, and able to work independently.
  • Must be exceptionally proficient in Google Sheets.
  • This includes formulas, formatting, filtering, sorting, maintaining trackers, creating reports, organizing large sets of data, and improving spreadsheet-based workflows.
  • Familiarity with beer, craft beverage, distribution, or wholesale sales is a strong plus.

They can manage relationships professionally, follow up consistently, solve problems quickly, and use Google Sheets as a central tool for tracking, reporting, and improving workflow.
