Job Summary
We’re seeking an energetic, self-motivated District Manager to join our growing team. Qualified candidates must be outgoing, goal-oriented, and have a passion for the craft brewing industry. In this dynamic position, you will be responsible for driving sales by managing our wholesale partners within the assigned territory while building strong relationships with retailers to increase the Coronado Brewing Co. portfolio across Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo Counties. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for craft beer and cider, a results-driven attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
Responsibilities
Distributor Management
• Define and monitor the achievement of sales targets within the LA/Central Coast territory – including Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo Counties – in terms of volume, revenue, market share, and distribution.
• Implement an action plan for each distributor partner, ensuring clear and measurable objectives to deliver on distribution and volume targets.
• Conduct monthly progress reviews with distributor(s) and perform business reviews on a minimum tri-annual basis.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels across assigned distributors and make recommendations on order levels to maximize sales.
• Develop “preferred supplier status” by being recognized as one of the distributor’s best supplier partners, based on contribution to volume growth, sweat equity, and targeted focus to drive collective business.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders at distributor(s) throughout the organization, including President/GM, brand managers, area sales managers, supervisors, sales reps, merchandising managers, and operations staff.
• Develop a thorough understanding of each wholesaler’s sales structure, go-to-market strategy, POS processes, billing, and monthly reporting procedures.
• Utilize internal sales reporting and CRM tools to identify opportunities and track activity while in the trade.
• Maintain knowledge of all Coronado Brewing Company product pricing plus the general pricing of top craft and import beer competitors in market.
Market Development
• Develop new accounts and maintain current accounts across Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo Counties.
• Increase Coronado sales and brand visibility by opening new accounts, expanding distribution in existing accounts, selling in features, building displays, hosting promos, and utilizing POS materials.
• Establish relationships with key decision makers and influencers in your market, communicating brand awareness, pricing, inventory, and events.
• Plan and attend promotional events, staff trainings, and sell in new package and draft placements at accounts.
• Conduct a minimum of 40 quality account visits per week, with a strong presence in the market during evening hours.
• Lead wait staff and bartender education sessions, beer tastings, and evening promotions.
Required Skills & Experience
• Must reside in the Greater Los Angeles area.
• Minimum 2 years of beverage-related sales experience, preferably in the craft beer or alcohol industry with wholesaler management experience.
• Strong knowledge and experience in the local Los Angeles/Central Coast marketplace.
• Highly organized with strong time-management skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with strong professional maturity and judgment.
• General knowledge of the brewing process and the broader beverage alcohol industry, including market share and competitive landscape.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with distributors across multiple trade channels.
• Must be able to travel and work flexible hours, including weekend events.
• Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, and Outlook; familiarity with VIP/KARMA a plus.
• Ability to complete administrative requirements on time, including expense reports, monthly recaps, call reporting, and budget management.
• Must have a clean driving record (motor vehicle records check required).
• Ability to lift and move kegs and cases of beer frequently (up to 50 lbs).
• Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point-of-sale materials.

Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $68,640 – $80,000 annually, plus commission and benefits. Final compensation will be commensurate with experience.
