BevNET Review

Bolthouse Farms has gone out of its way to add great fruit juice taste to what would otherwise be the kind of ingredients you’d normally find at a health food store. Normally, a list including ingredients like Spirulina, Blue Green Algae, Odorless Garlic, Broccoli, Spinach and Barley Grass would have us pretty intimidated, but the use of strong apple, pineapple, mango and kiwi juice concentrates makes the stuff taste a lot like a juice blend, and doesn’t suffer from the chalky, heterogeneous texture that can be a problem for beverages with this many added nutrients. But then there’s the appearance: when Bolthouse Farms says green, they mean GREEN. It’s like something out of Swamp Thing. We suggest using an opaque glass for this stuff, but for folks who really believe in drinking their nutrients, this is a very flavorful way to do it.
