Job Posting: Head Brewer

Sterling Street Brewery is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Brewer to lead our brewing operations. We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented leader who can manage all aspects of our beer production, from recipe formulation to packaging, while upholding our commitment to quality.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all day-to-day brewing operations, including wort production, fermentation, cellaring, and packaging.
• Develop and refine new and existing beer recipes to maintain a diverse and high-quality portfolio.
• Maintain meticulous records of all production data, inventory, and quality control metrics.
• Oversee all cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance procedures for the brewery and equipment.
• Manage raw material procurement, inventory, and vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with the management team on production scheduling, budgeting, and strategic planning.
• Represent the brewery at events and engage with the public to promote our brand.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional brewing experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or head brewer role.
• Proven ability to create and execute unique beer recipes.
• Strong knowledge of brewing science, yeast handling, and quality control.
• Experience with brewery equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift heavy materials (e.g., 55 lb. grain bags) and work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• A formal brewing education or certification is a plus.
