LOCATION: **Required to live in Greater Boston Area (remote, but requires in-person customer visits and some travel)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Open Water is seeking a full-time Regional Sales Representative to identify new business, cultivate relationships with distributors and customers, and execute sales that will drive growth to meet Open Water’s expansion plans and mission across New England. The right person will be passionate about sustainability, a great team player, an exceptional communicator, and have strong analytical skills.
We are looking for a driven and diligent overachiever and team player with unbridled passion and the desire to make a difference. There is a tremendous opportunity to grow within the sales team and make an impact in a fast-paced, strategic environment.
You will…
- Establish a deep understanding of our products and the bottled water category
- Work with the larger sales team to identify new sales accounts, implement prospecting sales strategies, and provide support throughout the sales cycle
- Manage and grow Open Water’s wholesale and direct distribution channels and on-premise partners
- Develop relationships with, train, and motivate current distributors; Leverage and grow existing distribution
- On-board new customers and complete any required vendor paperwork
- Provide ongoing customer account support
- Prepare sales, pricing, and market analytics in Excel or Google Sheets
- Monitor KPI performance to understand the impact on the business, identify issues, develop solutions, and provide key insights and growth opportunities to achieve sales goals
- Maintain up-to-date awareness of industry trends and the current environment
EXPERIENCE: Entry-level to 3 years of experience in Sales, Customer Account Management, or a related field. Food, Beverage, or CPG experience is preferred but not required.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelors preferred (but quality experience and the right skill set can negate this)
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

- Friendly and professional communicator; exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- You make people feel comfortable and can strike up a conversation easily
- Fantastic with numbers and have strong analytical skills
- Very familiar with Excel/Google Sheets and can create analytical reports independently
- Exceptionally organized and methodical with strong attention-to-detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with enthusiasm and self-direction
- Team player and always willing to help others and work harmoniously
- Solution-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to brainstorm strategically
- You are up for anything and learn quickly. We need a ‘can-do’ attitude!
- You are driven, hungry for impact and responsibility, and able to execute with little guidance
