What initially started out as taqueria operating under the Tacombi brand name has evolved into an omni-channel business with CPG business that share Mexican food and culture through our unique brands (Tacombi and Vista Hermosa) and product architecture. Tacombi is building out our team with a talented group of foodies, salespeople, marketers and innovators with an entrepreneurial spirit to join us!
Tacombi is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to help build our brand equity with retailers, distributors, brokers and consumers. The Marketing Coordinator will work to build the Vista Hermosa brand nationally with a focus in key markets. This role is based in our corporate office currently headquartered on the Bowery in Manhattan. Additionally, it would require travel both locally in the New York Metro area and nationally for attendance at trade shows, distributor rallies, marketing activations and other events.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Drive brand education and awareness to create Vista Hermosa brand loyalists
- Execute on the following 4 pillars of marketing:
- Internal:
- Spark excitement on our CPG business with our internal teams.
- Work with Taqueria marketing on synergy between the two brands
- Support the work of the Tacombi Foundation leveraging Vista Hermosa
- Industry:
- Develop stellar partnerships with current brand partners and develop new ones to execute collaborative marketing initiatives.
- Engage with industry publications to bring industry awareness to Vista Hermosa through press releases, brand articles and podcasts with our leadership team
- Attend Industry events to connect and promote the Vista Hermosa brand.
- Partnerships
- Cultivate relationships with our distributor, broker and merchandiser partners
- Attend meetings to support our sales team
- Assist with incentive programs to drive sales
- Attend sales blitzes with our sales team and distributors
- Leverage Tacombi partnerships for CPG engagement
- Consumer facing
- Engage with our consumers with our standards of Mexican Hospitality
- Assist the sales team with shopper marketing programs
- Manage consumer messaging and customer inquiries via email and social channels.
- Coordinate and execute market-specific plans with a focus on partnership sampling and in-kind event donations with the goal of increasing brand awareness and driving trial.
- Responsible for all aspects of campaigns including partnership development, program logistics and execution.
- Development of partnerships to extend the reach of the brand, including meeting with, dropping samples, and educating influencers, media, and potential partners.
- Managing database sights such as IX-One, RangeMe, OneWorld Sync to ensure our product images and information is up to date
- Manage sourcing and ordering of sales support materials including wearables, POS, Racks, Sell Sheets, Trade Show Assets, Coupons, etc.
- Project manage major trade shows like Expo West and IDDBA with assistance from sales and operations.
- Contribute to annual marketing planning with the sales team and Chief Creative Officer
- Completing program recaps and various presentations including monthly market activity recaps, brand review, partner product recaps, contributing marketing information for sales decks.
- Updating reports including demo calendars, budget & expenses.
Qualifications:

- Obsession for understanding customer behavior: lives, breaths and dreams about how to better reach and understand our buyers and consumers
- Enthusiastic and comfortable working in a start-¬up organization (think rapidly growing / changing environment)
- Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills along with excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication and presentation skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)
- Ability to take initiative and work autonomously – you can run with something from beginning to end
- Works well with ambiguity – can navigate in the grey and asks the right questions to get at the solution
- Analyze opportunities quickly and have an ability to execute company goals efficiently
- Resourcefulness to improvise and adapt to deal with daily challenges via creative problem solving
- 2-4 years of experience in CPG sales and or marketing
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent work experience
