Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of sales experience with strong knowledge of beer and the beer industry
  • Established network and connections within the national beer industry and distributors
  • Advanced sales skills with proven track record of meeting/exceeding goals

Duties

  • Grow Jester King’s National & Export presence through strategic planning and execution
  • Ensure brand representation in chain off-premise retailers (HEB, WFM, TWM, Spec’s, Twin Liquors, etc.)
  • Manage out-of-state distributor relationships
  • Support ownership with production/sales forecasting using sales data
  • Represent Jester King at out-of-state events and festivals
  • Conduct wholesaler market to support sales efforts and strengthen relationships
  • Establish and implement a national distribution plan with wholesalers to build core brand visibility
  • Secure placements in key chain and high-profile national accounts
  • Manage inventory efficiently using Ollie Order/Ops and ensure alignment with production
  • Accurately forecast budgets to support sales goals and production planning
  • Develop and execute an out-of-state business plan that grows Jester King through three product pillars:
  • Core Brands – approachable, consistent, and recognizable
  • Innovative & Modern Styles – seasonal, trend-forward, and exciting
  • Legacy Fruited Mixed Fermentation Brands – farmhouse tradition and authenticity
  • Expand into select markets by partnering with value-aligned distributors
  • Balance dependability, innovation, and artisanal tradition to maximize brand impact
  • Build and re-establish wholesaler relationships by:
  • Maintaining strong partnerships across all markets
  • Identifying gaps and strengthening communication channels
  • Balancing direct sales growth with long-term wholesaler engagement
  • Break into / advance key high-profile accounts by:
  • Targeting national partners such as Whole Foods, Total Wine, Trader Joe’s, Costco, H-E-B, Kroger, Spec’s, and others
  • Creating tailored strategies, presentations, and product placements to expand visibility nationwide
  • Manage chain mandates by:
  • Maintaining accurate chain cost files
  • Coordinating with Production to avoid inventory gaps
  • Partnering with the Texas Sales Manager to deepen integration into existing chain accounts
  • Protecting and growing current placements in H-E-B, Whole Foods, and other retail partners
  • Lead budget forecasting by:
  • Managing and presenting accurate, actionable forecasts to ownership
  • Analyzing sales trends, monitoring market performance, and building financial models
  • Collaborating with ownership, finance, and production to set realistic sales targets
  • Tracking progress, adjusting strategies, and optimizing profitability through disciplined financial planning
