Position: Full-Time, Salaried $42,000-$58,000
Founded in 1996, Titletown Brewing Company of Green Bay, Wisconsin has a rich history of making quality craft beer. We are an award-winning craft brewery with a semi-automated brewing system located in the historic canning building in downtown Green Bay. We value creativity, quality, and a strong work ethic, and we’re looking for someone who shares our dedication to the craft to join our tight-knit team.
Role: We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate Assistant Brewer to support our Head Brewer in all aspects of production and process. You will be essential in helping us maintain our high standards of quality and consistency from grain to glass.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wort Production: Manage all phases of the brewing process.
- Cellar Work: Perform cellar operations such as fermenter transfers and filters on a pressurized DE/Leaf filter, dry-hopping, adding fruit/spices, carbonating and yeast harvesting.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Execute and uphold rigorous CIP procedures for all tanks, lines and equipment.
- Packaging: Operate canning line, operate keg washer/filler, pack and fill orders
- Quality Control: Assist Quality Manager where needed throughout brewing process
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of professional brewing experience.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to regularly lift 55lbs, climb ladders/stairs, and work in hot, cold and wet conditions.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Comfort with using tools and working on mechanical systems. Previous mechanical experience is a huge plus.
- Reliability and Teamwork: A strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Passion: A genuine passion for craft beer and a desire to learn and grow within the industry.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including occasional early mornings, weekends and extended hours as needed for production schedules.
- Community: Commitment to fostering a culture that is safe and respectful for all individuals
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal education from a recognized brewing program
- A great palate and experience with beer sensory and evaluation
- Experience with a 30bbl production Brewhouse
