The Field Sales Representative (FSR) - Metro New York is primarily responsible for driving new on and off premise business for Lawson’s Finest Liquids, maintaining and growing our business with current accounts, and supporting the market through events and promotions. The FSR will report directly to our State Manager – NJ + Metro NY and is essential to making our distribution goals a reality.

  • Has the ability to maintain relationships with key stakeholders across our sales ecosystem, from retailers to distributors, and of course our tight-knit Lawson’s Finest sales team. 
  • Possesses excellent communication skills

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Embody the company’s core values: be the finest, keep it authentic, take good care, focus on community and have fun. 
  • Operate in alignment with, and pursuit of, Lawson’s Finest’s mission and vision. 
  • Uphold B Corp ethos and general principles in business operations and interpersonal connections. 
  • Conduct weekly visits to on and off premise accounts in Metro New York region, with a majority of the day-to-day work being done in New York City. 
  • Proactive outreach to potential accounts via phone, email, or social media. 
  • Work directly with distribution sales representatives in gaining points of distribution and increasing volume at current accounts. 
  • Enthusiastically represent Lawson's Finest at festivals and organize promotions, tastings, and events as needed and requested. 
  • Maintain accurate data on lead generation activities and sales pipeline progress within CRM system (KARMA – VIP). 
  • Utilize VIP software and tools to plan and manage time and set weekly work plans with sales manager. 
  • Ensure clear communication of Lawson’s Finest core values, goals, and brand message to consumers, accounts and wholesale partners. 
  • Strengthen relationships with all external partners, keeping the Lawson’s Finest values in mind with every interaction. 
  • Merchandising and quality assurance of product at retail, ensuring the Finest, Freshest, Always Kept Cold model. 
  • Ensure package and brand visibility at accounts by optimizing package placement and Point of Sale in-store. 
  • Work directly with their State Manager to ensure business objectives are met. 
  • Analyze sales data and prioritize business objectives. 
  • Focus on “problem solving” more than “problem identifying” with a proactive presence for accounts and our wholesale partner in Metro New York. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with sales managers and distribution partners. 
  • Support sales and marketing strategies in new and existing distribution areas. 

 

 

 

Requirements & Expectations : 

  • 2+ years of bev-alc field sales experience preferred (brewery, distributor, etc) 
  • Aside from occasional trips to Lawson's VT headquarters, role is entirely remote in Metro New York, with expected daily travel throughout the sales territory. 
  • Highly organized with ability to learn in VIP software, Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Office Suite software; and internal tracking applications. 
  • Willing and able to work nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed. 
  • Able to maintain sobriety and professionalism working in settings where beer is flowing. 
  • Knowledge of beer ingredients and the brewing process. 
  • Ability to manage an assigned budget effectively.  
  • Physically capable of a variety of duties including but not limited to repeated lifting of 30 pounds or more, and extended amounts of physical activity with prolonged standing and talking. 
  • Valid driver's license, clear motor vehicle record, and reliable transportation 

 

 

Compensation:

  • This is a full-time, remote position 
  • Starting salary: $65,000-$70,000 plus potential quarterly bonuses
