Stoneface Brewing is an independent brewery located on the New Hampshire Seacoast and has been producing quality craft beer since 2014. Known for our hop-forward beers and diverse portfolio of styles, we continue to invest in our production capabilities and are seeking a Brewer/Cellar Operator to join our team.  


Brewer/Cellar Operator


The Brewer/Cellar Operator is responsible for supporting brewing and cellaring operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This position requires a strong understanding of brewing and cellaring processes, sound mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative production team. Strong organizational and time-management skills are essential.


Responsibilities

  • Perform brewing, fermentation, and cellaring operations in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain quality control and safety standards throughout all production activities.
  • Handle, harvest, and manage yeast as required.
  • Perform routine brewery laboratory and quality assurance procedures.
  • Safely handle cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Support packaging and other production operations as needed.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment and operational issues.
  • Manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Communicate effectively with other members of the production team.
  • Report to work reliably and on time.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of brewing and cellaring processes.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work safely in confined spaces on occasion.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification upon hire at company expense.
  • Completion of Brewers Association online safety training modules, or willingness to complete them within 14 days of hire.


Schedule Requirements

  • Ability to work a rotating production schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekend shifts.
  • Flexibility to support packaging and other production activities as needed.

Compensation

Starting pay is $19.00 per hour, with higher rates considered based on experience and qualifications.


This position reports to the Production Director.
