Shipping, Warehouse & Logistics Manager

Fancypants Baking Co. is seeking an experienced Shipping, Warehouse & Logistics Manager to take overall ownership of our warehouse, inventory, shipping, receiving, and logistics operations. This is a management-level position, not a primarily hands-on warehouse role.

The Manager will establish structure, accountability, inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, freight coordination, and efficient product flow throughout the facility. The position will work closely with Operations, Production, Purchasing, Sales/Customer Service, and Quality Assurance to ensure materials are available when needed and finished goods are shipped accurately and on time.

Walpole, Massachusetts | Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Department: Operations / Warehouse | Reports To: Operations Director

Responsibilities

• Manage overall warehouse operations, organization, and priorities.
• Maintain accurate raw material, packaging, and finished-goods inventory.
• Manage ERP inventory transactions, reporting, and reconciliation.
• Establish and oversee cycle counting and inventory-control procedures.
• Coordinate shipping, receiving, freight, carriers, and deliveries.
• Source and negotiate freight rates and monitor transportation costs.
• Ensure accurate BOLs, shipping documentation, lot codes, and product identification.
• Coordinate warehouse requirements with Operations and Production.
• Partner with Sales/Customer Service on customer shipping requirements.
• Work with Purchasing to ensure material availability.
• Coordinate with QA on receiving, lot traceability, holds/releases, and food-safety requirements.
• Lead warehouse personnel and establish clear expectations and accountability.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and prevent operational disruptions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of warehouse, logistics, inventory, or manufacturing management experience.
• Strong ERP and inventory management experience.
• Experience managing freight and transportation providers.
• Experience negotiating freight rates.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to lead people and manage multiple priorities.
• Food manufacturing experience preferred.
