Head Brewer

CraftHaus Brewery is an established, award-winning independent craft brewery and one of the original pioneers of the craft beer movement in the Las Vegas Valley. Founded in 2014, we have built a strong regional presence with an extensive statewide distribution footprint, a diverse portfolio of award-winning beers, and two vibrant tasting rooms. We are passionate about brewing exceptional beer, supporting our local craft beer community, and continuing to push the boundaries of what craft beer can be in Southern Nevada.

Key Responsibilities

• Brewing Operations: Oversee all aspects of daily production including mash-in, wort transfer, fermentation monitoring, tank-to-tank transfers, yeast management and sensory evaluation to ensure consistent, high-quality beer.
• Packaging: Operate and manage a two-head canning line, ensuring efficiency and quality packaging.
• Inventory Management: Monitor raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished beer. Place timely orders and maintain accurate usage records to ensure no interruptions in production.
• Quality Control: Maintain rigorous sanitation and quality standards across brewhouse, cellar, and packaging. Conduct sensory and lab tests to uphold CraftHaus’ standards.
• Recipe Development: Collaborate with the team to design and refine recipes for seasonal, specialty, and flagship beers. Adjust formulas as needed for ingredient variations.
• Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot brewing and cellar equipment. Coordinate repairs and manage spare parts inventory.
• Leadership: Mentor, train, and manage production staff. Foster a safe, collaborative, and professional work environment.
• Compliance & Reporting: Complete accurate production logs, batch reports, and inventory records. Support administrative functions for TTB, state, and local compliance.
• Safety & Cleanliness: Enforce brewery safety protocols and maintain an organized, clean workspace.
• Community & Brand Representation: Act as an ambassador for CraftHaus through tours, collaborations, festivals, and community events.
• Distributor Communication: Maintain 30 day supply through weekly communication with our distributor to track inventory and prepare outgoing orders. 
• Barrel Program: Oversee timing, blending, and limited releases within our barrel-aging program.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional brewing experience; leadership or shift lead role preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of brewing processes from raw material handling to packaging.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask, troubleshoot, and adapt in a fast-paced production environment.
• Familiarity with OSHA and brewery safety standards.
• Physical ability to lift 55 lbs repeatedly, move 165 lbs, and work in hot, cold, cramped, or noisy environments.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including occasional weekends.
• Forklift experience (certification a plus).
• Valid Driver’s License required.
