Santa Rosa, CA (August 26, 2025) –Glen Scotia, the highly-awarded single malt scotch from Campbeltown is proud to announce its heralded Glen Scotia 15-Year-Old is now available nationwide this holiday season through the Foley Family Wines & Spirits distribution network. At 92 proof, Glen Scotia 15-Year-Old is a non-chill filtered, unpeated whisky that captures the unique maritime characteristics Campbeltown is famous for, while introducing delicate citrus and caramel flavors to even the most sophisticated whisky palates. Perfect for gifting to the discerning whisky connoisseur, Glen Scotia 15-Year-Old is available at fine retailers across the US and online with an SRP of $119.99 for a 750ml bottle.

Glen Scotia 15-Year-Old is an exceptional single malt that delivers a true taste of Campbeltown, an underappreciated Scotch whiskey region given its storied and illustrious background as the “Victorian Whisky Capital of the World.” Campbeltown is one of the few regions that has a unique, identifiable flavor profile found nowhere else: a maritime character with a thick, oily mouthfeel and essence of tropical green fruits and citrus.

Made with 100% malted barley sourced from the east coast of Scotland and water tapped at Crosshill Loch, the whisky is distilled on a swan neck, copper pot still, barreled in first fill ex-bourbon barrels, and aged in both dunnage and palletized warehouses that are maritime-adjacent along the Firth of Clyde on the Kintyre Peninsula.

Campbeltown’s prevailing spirit, Glen Scotia has a long-standing relationship with Bourbon and American Oak casks. This traditional choice of wood complements the whisky’s slow fermentation and small batch process, delivering underlying balanced fruit character, sweet toffee and background spice. A final, very short finish in Oloroso Sherry Casks for this release, allows all those classic regional traits to shine through. Glen Scotia 15-Year-Old offers whisky explorers a medley of plump fruits, caramelized sugar and oak, leading to a finish that is slightly dry with a warm spice and hints of honeyed sweetness.

Although Campbeltown may be the smallest of Scotland’s five whisky regions, it is one of the most established. In 1823, Scotland’s Exercise Act made it desirable for illicit distillers in the territory to obtain licenses. Campbeltown, a small seaside port, quickly became the most prominent hub of whisky production, with more than 28 distilleries. Now, only three remain, including the most well-known – Glen Scotia.

Campbeltown native Iain McAlister has served at the helm as Master Distiller for the past 12 years, and the historic distillery still maintains much of its original design dating back to1830s — including the stillroom and dunnage warehouse.

ABOUT GLEN SCOTIA SCOTCH WHISKY

Distiller Glen Scotia has been producing single malt whisky in Campbeltown since 1832 and is one of three surviving distilleries in Campbeltown. The distillery still maintains much of its original design, including the fermenters, the stillroom, and the dunnage warehouse dating from the 1830s. To this day, the distillery team follow in the footsteps of their founders, using traditional methods, carefully creating the unique Campbeltown maritime style the brand has become world-famous for.?

In 2021, Glen Scotia’s 25-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch whisky was awarded ‘Best in Show Whisky’ at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Over 3,800 entries across 31 categories were judged with Glen Scotia being awarded the overall winner across all countries and styles, making it ‘Best Whisky in the World’. Later that year, Glen Scotia was named Scottish Whisky Distillery of the Year at the Scottish Whisky Awards. It is the first time a whisky distillery has received both accolades. ?

In 2022, Glen Scotia’s Victoriana won Best in Class in the Distillers’ Single Malt Scotch – No Age Statement category at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
