+ Show Product ReviewLemon Grass Chai

Product Type:Tea: Alternative; Container: 16 fl oz (473 ml) glass
BevNET Review: This is arguably one of the best executed flavors of the Solebury brand. While it might not be as glorious as producing acai infused white tea, Lemon Gras Chai proves that the Solebury is very skilled in properly pairing tea with a flavor that complements the specific brew. In this case, they've used a chai tea (known for its natural spiced flavor) and lemon grass, an herb native to India. The subtle, earthy citrus flavor cuts the chai nicely, leaving a product that tastes sophisticated yet easy to drink. More importantly, Lemongrass Chai doesn't have the overly sweet flavor that we cited in some of the other varieties. Overall, this might not be as trendy as some of the white tea blends, but it's definitely something that deserves a place in Solebury's lineup.Reviewed on: 8/24/2006

+ Show Product ReviewAcai Green Tea

Product Type:Tea: Sweetened; Container: 16 fl oz (473 ml) glass
BevNET Review: Despite only having 66 calories and 16.8 carbs per bottle, we found this product to be a tad sweeter than we would have liked. The acai and green tea flavors seem to be lost in what otherwise tastes like sugar and some sort of tart and acidic fruit. If it were toned down and the acai and tea flavors came out, we'd probably like this product a bit more.Reviewed on: 8/23/2006

+ Show Product ReviewCranberry White Tea

Product Type:Tea: Sweetened; Container: 16 fl oz (473 ml) glass
BevNET Review: Cranberry and white tea are two flavors that we like, but we're not sure how they'd combine. After all, white tea can be a relatively delicate, light flavor. Cranberry, on the other hand, is tart and bitter. Fortunately, Solebury has pleasantly surprised us. The flavor is tart and sweet, but somehow manages to have only 66 calories for the entire bottle. The cranberry flavor is dominant, but there's a noticeable splash of tea flavor as well. Overall, it's a well balanced flavor that is extremely drinkable. The packaging is good and clean, but it feels a little like a bath/beauty product (which Solebury also makes).Reviewed on: 8/23/2006

+ Show Product ReviewPomegranate Green Tea

Product Type:Tea: Sweetened; Container: 16 fl oz (473 ml) glass
BevNET Review: Solebury's Pomegranate Green Tea seemingly has it all: great taste, classy packaging, and it's light on the calories and carbs (66 calories / 16.8g carbs). In fact, the flavor is almost unbelievable -- we would have expected it to be much lighter. The flavor is full and bold, with tart notes of strawberry and pomegranate followed a splash of earthy green tea flavor. USDA organic certification pushes this product to a level that only few others have achieved. The only area for improvement is the bottle -- it feels a bit too pedestrian compared to the rest of the product. Still, a very well done product.Reviewed on: 8/23/2006

+ Show Product ReviewIsland Infusion

Product Type:Tea: Sweetened; Container: 16 fl oz (473 ml) glass
BevNET Review: Using a blend of organic mate, rooibos, and green rooibos teas that has been flavored with a variety of ingredients, including apple, carrot, papaya, lemon grass, sunflower, cornflower and cane sugar, Island Infusion has an original taste that can't be compared to competing products or other Solebury products. The light, fruity body has nice herbal undertones that end with a sweet splash of cane sugar. As we've cited in some of the other reviews, the sugary flavor is a bit much -- it really hits your tongue hard and leaves behind a sugary aftertaste -- and we think that the product would be improved if this were taken down a notch. Still, this is a very well done and drinkable product -- and the bonus of good packaging and USDA Organic certification definitely help.Reviewed on: 8/23/2006

+ Show Product ReviewStrawberry Hibiscus Tea

Product Type:Tea: Sweetened; Container: 16 fl oz (473 ml) glass
BevNET Review: These down-home looking teas, with their elongated jar-shaped bottles, are very attractive and appear to come straight from the home of Martha Stewart. That noted, they’ve done a fine job of balancing a pair of potentially cloying flavors, strawberry and hibiscus, against each other in a mix that’s neither too tangy nor too sweet. This product shows that an herbal RTD iced tea can have substance and flavor, although perhaps it could use a bit more subtlety. But, then again, so could Martha.Reviewed on: 8/24/2006
