BevNET Review

Billed as a product with "Maximum Energy,” Double Hit is basically a classic coffee soda that has been spruced up with several ingredients that are typical of energy drinks. The makers have done a good job of creating a good tasting product that mixes coffee and carbonation, but without going overboard on the calories or carbs (80 and 20g, respectively). The product uses a relatively strong coffee flavor which will definitely appeal to coffee drinkers who don't use a lot of milk or cream in their morning brew. As far as the can goes, it's a funky design that's aesthetically pleasing, but doesn't exactly jump out at you. In addition, the phrase "coffee drink" is somewhat easy to miss -- which may result in Double Hit being mistaken for a regular energy drink. Overall, it's a good use of the 12-oz. energy drink-style can and a coffee-based formulation is a welcome change from your everyday energy drink formulations. Worth a try.
