Flathead Lake Monster Gourmet Soda: Huckleberry

Huckleberry-flavored Flathead Lake Monster is billed as a "hand crafted gourmet soda,” but unfortunately there's little more to back that claim than a glass bottle with a funky label. Sweetened with high-fructose corn syrup, this soda is overly sweet and somewhat syrupy to the finish, with only a very light amount of carbonation. Its fruit flavor is good and natural-tasting, but it also leaves behind a bit of an aftertaste. The quality is on par with a store brand soda. The label is busy and confusing and the lizard-like creature didn't seem like something that belonged on a gourmet soda. What you have here is nothing more than a run-of-the-mill CSD that's doing a bad job of hiding in a clear glass bottle.
