BevNET Review
Of the unsweetened flavors that have been added to the Granny Squibb’s line, the unsweetened lemon and mint tea flavor is the most natural combination. As the name suggests, it’s a very straightforward blend of the black tea, lemon, and mint. From a flavor perspective it’s spot on, with just the right amount of each flavor. And for five calories, it delivers plenty of flavor. However, since is so simple, it feels like something that could be easily switched out for another comparable product. Visually, the product has a vibe of nostalgia and retro, which seems to work for a product named Granny Squibb’s. However, the visual differences between the unsweetened and sweetened products might not be sufficient -- you really have to read to tell the difference. In addition, we’re not fond of the “not always sweet” callout, which is confusing (is this flavor sometimes sweet?). Last, we’d like to see something other than a stock cap on the top of this product. Overall, it’s a nice effort that, with some refinement, is definitely a legitimate choice when it comes to premium RTD tea.
