Green Mustache: Carrot Orange

Carrot Orange has the most juice-like flavor of the six Green Mustache varieties that we sampled. Made with carrot juice, orange juice, spinach, kale, coconut water, lemon juice, ginger, and ground chia, the flavor of this product is refreshing but complex. There’s an initial note of carrot and orange, followed by a hit of greens and coconut water, and then finally a lemon note. The product also has some slight grit from the ground chia. It’s not an overly strong or sweet tasting product, which, at 110 calories and 13g of sugar per bottle, is not a complete surprise. And we definitely appreciate that each Green Mustache variety is clearly different from the others. Visually, the 10 oz. cylindrical bottle is colorful and appealing and looks the part of the high pressure processed (HPP) juice category. Compared with many HPP juice brands, however, we like the more whimsical and less serious looking approach that Green Mustache has taken. Still, it very much looks like a credible offering, and it’s one that we think will stand out on the store shelf. Overall, a nice add on to the lineup.
