Parrot’s “Soy Milk Drink” is a straightforward blend of non-GMO soy milk and cane sugar. If you are familiar with the consistency of soy based beverages, this variety is pretty much on point. It has just the right amount of soy flavor and sweetness and it has a dry finish. Soy Milk Drink isn’t the most exciting soy product we’ve ever had, but it’s certainly an adequate choice if you need a dairy alternative. Nutritionally, the product has 282 calories, 29g of sugar, and 13g of protein. Visually, things feel somewhat forced, with a seemingly random collection of a parrot, a soy bean character, a soy milk background, various typefaces, and a tropical color pallette. And there’s something inside of us that really questions why they couldn’t come up with something more creative that “soy milk drink” for the name of the product. As a result, this product feels like a value product, to the point where it’s simply selling a commodity that you can get in any number of brands out there. Overall, it’s nice tasting, but we don’t understand the strategy behind a single serve beverage that looks the way this product does.
