Only nine months after its launch, Coco Café is going national. The company recently revealed that it will enter the Dr Pepper Snapple (DPSG) system beginning in early June, a key piece of a national DSD network that the company hopes to complete later this summer. Acute beverage watchers will note that Coco Café is mirroring the same growth path as parent company Vita Coco, which has begun transitioning most of its distribution to national DPSG houses.
According to the company, Coco Café plans to continue rolling out with new distribution partners in the coming months and hopes to complete the national network later this summer. The brand recently gained new distribution partners in Boston through Blue Coast Distributors and Hensley & Co in Arizona, both key distribution partners for Vita Coco.
DPSG is also handling distribution for Coco Café in two new retailers for the brand: Wal-Mart and Target. The brand gained authorizations in both retailers earlier this spring, and it appears that Coco Café is close to a new authorization with another national warehouse retailer.
