Los Angeles, California, November 21, 2024 — 101 Cider House, the maker of zero sugar, certified probiotic and naturally alcoholic cider, is announcing a complete rebrand for their portfolio in 2025. Marking the brand's 10th anniversary, the new look delivers a timeless elegance that pairs well with the age-old techniques which are used to craft their natural cider. With a fruit forward lineup that appeals to a broader range of drinkers, the company is staying true to its “better for you” ethos while delivering a juicier finished product.

Since 2015, 101 Cider House has been synonymous with category innovation and crafting what are regarded as the healthiest alcoholic beverages on the planet. With a focus on the art and science of spontaneous fermentation, the company is the first in an exciting new category of Full Spectrum® alcoholic beverages that deliver a coveted buzz known as the “Entourage Effect”. This has allowed the brand to attract consumers who are seeking healthier choices and functional outcomes, from keto to gut health. Previous iterations of their beverages tasted “healthy”, and for good reason. After a period of significant investment into R&D and product innovation, the new offering is better aligned with consumer expectations.

“For the past decade, we have been on a mission to help consumers discover a healthier relationship with alcohol” said Mark McTavish, Founder and CEO of 101 Cider House. “Natural cider is a new experience for most here in the US, but the story goes back thousands of years in European cultures like Northern Spain. It’s time to go beyond niche to the mainstream, we endeavor to meet the American consumer where they are at and take them further in their cider journey”

The entire core offering now comes in at 4.5% ABV, and is presented in beautifully packaged 16oz cans as follows:

  • "Classic": A modern take on the legendary "Sidra Natural" of Northern Spain. Bone dry and bursting with minerality.
  • "Radler": A nod to the lagers traditionally paired with fruit juice, this blend is dry hopped with Citra and paired with locally grown grapefruit.
  • "Limón": Zesty lime pops on your palate before being wiped clean by a subtle wave of saltiness.
  • "Piña": Tropical sweetness and a kick of jalapeño make this pineapple cider infinitely sessionable.

Living up to it’s name, 101 Cider House resides at the terminus of the iconic 101 Highway in downtown Los Angeles. What consumers may not know is that the 101 corridor is also the unofficial cider route of America - home to thousands of apple growers. The fertile soil, abundant water resources, and ideal climate make this region the perfect location for apple cultivation. According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), growers along the 101 produce roughly 80% of the country’s total apple crop…more than 7 billion pounds annually. 101 Cider House is committed to working with these growers to source certified Non-GMO ingredients that are free of harsh chemicals and pesticides. Every batch starts with raw juice and is allowed to ferment spontaneously for three months - no sulfites added, no pasteurization, and the juice is never filtered. The result is a living beverage that is naturally alcoholic, probiotic, and contains zero sugar.

“The key to our success has been an undying commitment to putting the best stuff inside every can" said Ben Brewington, cidermaker and head of production. “That commitment relies upon transparency with our ingredients and production process. We take our time to honor the nature of things, whilst maintaining rigorous attention to detail. The new core lineup delivers a one of a kind drinking experience, the same natural cider that we have always been known for……but now at it’s best.”

In an effort to prioritize alignment with their target audience, the company has partnered with a network of leading craft beverage distributors who provide statewide coverage to wholesale accounts across California, Arizona, and Nevada. The new lineup will land on store shelves across the Southwest in January 2025, most notably at premium and natural retailers like Whole Foods Market. Consumers can also look forward to enjoying these natural ciders at their favorite bars, restaurants, and music venues. Those in Los Angeles may already recognize 101 Cider House as the cider of choice at the legendary Hollywood Bowl, widely regarded as America’s #1 outdoor concert venue.

About 101 Cider House:

Established in 2015, 101 Cider House is a natural cider company based in downtown Los Angeles. Their products are crafted the way that Mother Nature intended, by way of a process known as spontaneous fermentation. This process results in a delicious living beverage that is loaded with probiotic cultures, and the Full Spectrum® of beneficial outcomes that are derived from the fermentation process. Not only is the company committed to crafting the healthiest alcoholic beverages on the planet, they are doing it in the most climate positive manner possible…..with less water, less energy, less waste, and more taste.
