Everett, WA. James Bay Distillers, a craft distillery near Seattle at Paine Field Airport, announced today that their innovative whiskies, gins, and vodka have been cited seven times at TrendHunter, the "world's largest, most popular trend community to identify consumer insights and the world's most innovative companies."
"We are pleased that our unique, creative, and trend-setting efforts are recognized," said Ernest Troth, president of James Bay Distillers. "We have often been first to use an ingredient in a gin, ahead of flavor trends as we monitor public adoption of flavors. Examples include kumquat and orange blossom in our Summer Gin No. 5, ube in our Berry & Ube Gin (still the only one in the world), the distinctive adaptation of fennel, anise, almond, and vanilla in our Finocchietto, and the retro-vintage flavors in Berlin Station, a cold war cocktail favorite of the CIA Station Chief in Berlin, from Norman Mailer's spy book, "Harlot's Ghost."
These and other products are available at the distillery or online. Customers may select the company's "Where To Buy" tab at their website shipping to Washington State and the District of Columbia. For nationwide sales, customers should choose the "Buy Now" tab, also at the company website.
The seven products named by TrendHunter include the Berlin Station Cold War martini cocktail; Heart of The Blues rye whiskey; the "Cherbanero Vodka," featuring organic black cherry and habanero; the Finocchietto; the Berry & Ube Gin; their blue label "Galloping Goose whisky," a bourbon recipe Canadian finished in ex-Martel cognac casks; and "Cadboro Whisky," an organic chocolate infusion into a bourbon recipe Canadian whisky. The Cadboro Whisky is named for a Hudson Bay ship which sailed Puget Sound and British Columbia from 1820-1864 and lies just offshore near Port Angeles, WA.
