Bon Vivants, La Factoría, and Library by the Sea Team Up for a Month-Long Celebration of Craft, Culture, and Island Hospitality
NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS (January 2026) – The Caribbean is stepping onto the world stage with the launch of the Caribbean Cocktail Tour, a groundbreaking initiative founded by some of the region's leading bar operators to showcase world-class cocktail talent.
Beginning January 9 and taking place over three weekends – January 9, 23, and 30 – the Caribbean Cocktail Tour will unite three of the Caribbean's most influential drinking destinations: Bon Vivants (Nassau, The Bahamas), La Factoría (Old San Juan, Puerto Rico), and Library by the Sea (Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands). In partnership with Diageo Reserve, the tour will spotlight the brand's leadership in premium spirits, storytelling, and innovation. A series of cross-island pop-ups, educational sessions, collaborative menus, and cultural exchanges will work to redefine how the world sees Caribbean cocktail culture and shine a light on the talent driving its global rise. Beyond showcasing world-class craft, the collaboration also amplifies the voices of Caribbean bartenders, giving them a platform to share their creativity and shape the next era of hospitality across the region.
"The Caribbean Cocktail Tour is a unique opportunity to celebrate the creativity and heritage behind our region and our craft," says Library by the Sea beverage manager, Jim Wrigley. "It brings together three islands, each with its own culinary history and perspective, and three incredible bar programs to create a platform that encourages collaboration and learning. We're thrilled that Library by the Sea can be part of this exchange and that we have the opportunity to tell the stories of our island in an entirely new way."
Each team will travel to the others' islands, hosting immersive takeovers and educational seminars that highlight their signature styles: Bon Vivants' warm Bahamian craft, La Factoría's Puerto Rican "Boricua" hospitality and Old San Juan vibrancy, and Library by the Sea's literary-driven "liquid narratives."
Featured Bars on the Caribbean Cocktail Tour
Bon Vivants (Nassau, The Bahamas)
As the Caribbean's craft-cocktail vanguard, Bon Vivants is The Bahamas' first true craft cocktail bar. Blending Bahamian heritage with the romance of Hemingway and world-class technique, it is known for its meticulous presentation, rare spirits, absinthe service, and all-day café-to-cocktail energy. A favorite for travelers and locals alike, Bon Vivants is a global destination and a 50 Best Discovery standout.
La Factoría (Old San Juan, Puerto Rico)
A cultural phenomenon with eight interconnected rooms — salsa dens, speakeasies, wine bars, and dance-driven late-night hideaways — La Factoría is the beating heart of Puerto Rico's cocktail renaissance. Since 2013, it has shaped Latin American bar culture and remains a staple on the North America's 50 Best Bars list, currently at #32.
Library by the Sea (Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands)
Library by the Sea is a story-driven cocktail bar where every drink reads like a chapter, pairing rare spirits, contemporary technique, and literary inspiration. Located in the Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa, the space is celebrated for its narrative menus, playful "liquid narratives," and its spot on North America's 50 Best Bars at #30.
More than a series of pop-ups, the Caribbean Cocktail Tour is a love letter to the region — its craftsmanship, stories, history, and ability to surprise. It represents a unified industry vision: a Caribbean where tone-setting cocktail bars collaborate, cross-pollinate, and raise global expectations. For Bon Vivants co-founder Kyle Jones, who has spent the last decade championing cocktail culture in the Caribbean, the tour is the natural next step in a movement that has been steadily gaining global traction.
"This is about showing the world what the Caribbean can do," says Jones. "We are producing bars, bartenders, and cocktail programs that stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the world's best. The talent, the creativity, and the stories are here — and this tour is our invitation for everyone to experience them."
