New York, NY – January 7, 2026 – Suntory Global Spirits, a world leader in premium spirits, today announced that Davin Nugent has been appointed President of Global Ready-To-Drink (RTD), reporting directly to President & CEO Greg Hughes, as the company continues to pursue its ambition to become the World's Most Admired Premium Spirits Company.
Nugent brings more than 25 years of experience in the global beverage industry, with a proven track record in RTD brand innovation and market expansion. He served most recently as Global Vice President of Innovation at Anheuser-Busch InBev (ABI), and prior to that was CEO at Mark Anthony Brands International.
In this position, Nugent will oversee Suntory's global strategy in the fast-growing RTD category, with leading brands including On The Rocks™ Premium Cocktails and -196™ (minus one-nine-six). Suntory has a distinct competitive advantage within RTD, with more than 100 years of expertise in spirits and non-alcoholic beverages that enable breakthrough innovations with high-quality base liquors and flavor profiles. In 2025, the company introduced more than ten new offerings globally for -196, which is enjoying strong double-digit growth in the US.
"Suntory is world renowned for its dedication to craftsmanship, which has led the company to be a leader in the competitive RTD markets in Japan and Australia," said Nugent. "This is a category that continues to grow as consumers seek convenience and high-quality experiences, so I'm thrilled to be joining the team to capitalize on this opportunity and support the long-term growth of Suntory's RTD business."
"Our aspiration is to be the #1 RTD company globally by enhancing our capabilities to quickly optimize taste and design for local markets," said Greg Hughes, President & CEO, Suntory Global Spirits. "I am confident Davin will help us sharpen our focus on executing our RTD priorities, building momentum for our brands around the world and further strengthening our position in this critical category."
