Acclaimed cool-climate specialist to lead production of Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc across California's top sites
Healdsburg, CA — February 9, 2026 — Twomey, the producer of Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc from Silver Oak Cellars, today announces the appointment of Ryan Hodgins as Director of Winemaking.
Hodgins brings more than two decades of excellence with premium, cool-climate sites throughout California. Acclaimed for a vineyard-first mindset and precision with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay varietals, his focused approach aligns with Twomey's pursuit of site-driven wines with finesse.
"Ryan's thoughtful, expressive winemaking resonates deeply with the values of our portfolio of brands," says Justin Hirigoyen, VP of Winegrowing at Silver Oak Cellars, who previously occupied the role of Director of Winemaking for Twomey. "His experience with world-class vineyards and his dedication to honoring specific sites make him the ideal leader for our next chapter."
Most recently, Hodgins served as Winemaker at FEL Wines, earning widespread recognition for elegant, terroir-focused wines sourced from Anderson Valley and Sonoma Coast sites. Earlier in his career, he held formative roles at Hanzell Vineyards and Acacia. He holds a master's degree in Viticulture & Enology from UC Davis.

As Director of Winemaking, Hodgins will lead Twomey's winemaking operations, stewarding decisions from harvest through blending and bottling, while working in close partnership with the vineyard team on site expression and quality. He will also collaborate across the broader Silver Oak Cellars organization on sustainability initiatives, building on the company's leadership in responsible farming and green design.
