Expo West 2023: Betty Buzz CEO Talks Retail, On-Premise Growth for Mixer Brand

Since launching in 2021, sparkling mixer maker Betty Buzz’s business has been humming along, reporting four-digit year-over-year retail sales growth as it establishes itself in retail accounts nationwide. Founded by actress Blake Lively, the brand is now launching new flavors and expanding into the on-premise channel.
At Natural Products Expo West 2023, Betty Buzz CEO Nishat Gupte spoke with BevNET about how the brand is quickly establishing itself with consumers as both a premium cocktail mixer that can pair with a broad variety of premium spirits and as a non-alcoholic refreshment with cold case placement in retailers such as Erewhon. Gupte also discussed the brand’s field marketing and sampling strategy, its latest flavor launch, and opportunities for growth in bars and restaurants.
