CORE Organic Initiates Nationwide Launch

shoppingFollowing a preliminary test run at Bristol Farms and a handful of other upscale Southern California grocers, CORE Organic is initiating a mainstream push into retailers nationwide.

According to a press release, the six-SKU line of five-calorie, stevia sweetened, fruit-infused beverages will begin entering grocery and convenience stores across the country this spring, powered by a who’s who list of distributors that have signed on to carry the line extension from premium bottled water brand CORE Hydration, which serial beverage entrepreneur Lance Collins (of FUZE, NOS and Bodyarmor fame) launched in 2015.

On the East Coast, CORE Organic will be distributed by Big Geyser, Honickman Group and Polar Beverages, while Haralambos Beverage Co. Kalil Bottling and Nevada Beverage Co. will carry the brand in the West. Grocers that have authorized placement for CORE Organic beginning in May include Kroger, Safeway/Albertson’s, Save Mart, Lucky Supermarkets, H-E-B, Sprouts, Acme, Tops Friendly Markets and Whole Foods’ South East region. The product will also enter 7-Eleven stores on both coasts as part of the convenience store giant’s recent push towards better-for-you beverages.

CORE Organic boast only one gram of sugar per serving and the antioxidants of half a cup of blueberries or cherries, coming by way of white tea extract and maqui berry. The line is gluten-free, non-GMO, kosher, soy-free and USDA-organic certified and available in Peach Mango, Watermelon Lemonade, Pomegranate Blue Acai, Orange Clementine, Coconut Colada and Orchard Pear. The product will retail for $2.49 per 18 oz. bottle.

“Organic is one of the hottest trends, but it’s not enough on its own,” Collins said in the release. “No one has been able to crack the code and deliver on all three attributes of organic, low calorie and great taste. So we set out to quench consumers’ thirst and deliver a revolutionary new product. Eighteen months later, we’re introducing CORE Organic, making organic enjoyable without the tradeoffs of taste or higher calories and so far the reception from retailers, distributors and consumers has been extremely positive.”

Additionally, extensive distribution will also kick in at 7-Eleven locations in May on both coasts as part of the retailer’s push for “better for you” beverages.

Known for CORE Hydration, the buzzworthy premium bottled water, CORE Nutrition has developed a first of its kind – an organic and low calorie drink that tastes great without the worry of artificial ingredients, high calorie counts or sugar. With CORE Organic, the company is tapping into America’s growing demand for organics, a market estimated at $40 billion that grew by 11 percent in 2014, according to Mintel. Additionally, 85 percent of Americans are currently buying organic and 75 percent of conventional grocery stores are carrying organic products nationwide.

“Organic is one of the hottest trends, but it’s not enough on its own,” said Lance Collins, CEO and co-founder of CORE Nutrition.

The low-glycemic CORE Organic has less than 1g of sugar per serving and contains as much antioxidants as a half cup of blackberries or cherries, all derived from white tea extract and maqui berry. The beverage checks all the boxes – only 5 calories per serving, gluten-free, non-GMO, kosher, soy-free, vegan and, of course, certified USDA organic – thus it’s designed for a wide variety of lifestyle and dietary preferences. CORE Organic offers six unique flavors that will please any palate and craving: Peach Mango, Watermelon Lemonade, Pomegranate Blue Acai, Orange Clementine, Coconut Colada and Orchard Pear.

As with its sexy sister beverage CORE Hydration, CORE Organic is offered in a proprietary contoured wide mouth bottle with a signature fade label. The full beverage line is currently available for purchase at select retailers in the Los Angeles area, and retails for $2.49 for an 18oz bottle.
