The caffeine found in BAWLS Guarana contains the same amount of caffeine as coffee and nearly three times that of traditional sodas due to a naturally occurring form of the stimulant found in the guarana berry. As the name implies, BAWLS Guarana Exxtra Caffeine has just that -- 50% more vs. their other 16 oz. offerings. Aside from that, the drink features a clear colored guarana flavored formulation that's sweetened with sucralose and ace-k. The product is clean and crisp, with a mild amount of flavor, moderate sweetness, and only a touch of sweetener aftertaste. Everything seems to work well together, and the lighter guarana flavor profile is actually a nice alternative to the full calorie version. The outside of the can follows with standard convention of white color meaning diet, while the "EXXTRA CAFFEINE" is certainly going to catch consumers' eyes. Overall, an easy drinking entry that should have market appeal, especially with its extra jolt of caffeine.

First of all, BAWLS G33K B33R is, for those of you unfamiliar with the "leet speak" coding of the name, another way to say "geek beer." G33K B33R is a root beer flavored energy entry, which blends a very unique flavor with the attractive styling of the BAWLS line. The flavor is very impressive, with a rich and sweet root beer flavor that can definitely hold its own from start to finish. On the outside, they've chosen a brown color scheme that has a sky blue accent color for the "G33K B33R" text. It's not a name that everyone is going to get, but the curiosity could certainly come into play for unfamiliar buyers. Really though, it's a safe bet that more than a good percentage of BAWLS' target customer base will know exactly what this stuff is. Plus, they've done a great job of delivering a tight package that packs good flavor inside a very clean and attractive bottle. A job well done by BAWLS.

BAWLS Cherry

BevNET Review:
Bawls Cherry is hands down the best-tasting Bawls flavor yet. Using a lightly sweetened formula, this variety has a very mild cherry flavor that goes down very easily. Plus, the finish has a mild dose of guarana and energy flavor, which lets you know that this is an energy drink, not a CSD. In addition, the product is clear, which, in our opinion, gives it a more refined and sophisticated feeling. The packaging follows in the traditional style of the Bawls line with a crisp red colored backdrop. We still like the glass packaging better, but the translation to the can is clean and fits with the brand. Overall, a good product that really excels in the taste department.

The sugar free Bawls Guaranexx is the first line extension to the Bawls Guarana brand and an impressive one at that. With its distinct, eye-catching glass packaging, the BAWLS brand stands-out among the large sea of competitors that make up the energy drink category. This packaging, combined with the highly-caffeinated formulation, has also helped BAWLS achieve a cult following in the electronic gaming community. So how does a sugar free offering fit into the image-conscious Bawls line? Fortunately, time and effort were clearly put into this product. The packaging is stellar, offering a nice contrast to the original�s dark blue bottle. In addition, Guaranexx has a light flavor that is very true to the original and which bears almost no hint of artificial sweeteners. Finally, Guaranexx is a well-timed entry into an increasingly carb-conscious market. The originality and superb execution of this product make it one our favorite sugar free additions to the high-caffeine / energy drink category.

With its striking blue bottle and high powered guarana taste, Bawls Guarana is the perfect beverage for adult consumers looking for a refreshing and energizing beverage. This unique beverage, which makes a great mixer with (or substitute for) alcoholic beverages, is flavored with guarana, an Amazonian berry which is caffeine packed for an extra kick. Light and sweet with a hint of spice, Bawls has a flavor that is truly unique. Overall, a great tasting beverage with stellar packaging -- definitely give it a try.
