BevNET Review: Celery soda? Why? This stuff was one of the few beverages that no one on the BevNET! staff enjoyed. Dr. Brown's Cel-Ray is quite strange tasting. The closest thing we could think of was concentrate orange juice with no sugar. It's not too sweet and tastes absolutely horrible. Celery was just one of those things that was not meant to be good in a beverage.

I discovered Dr Brown's Cel-Ray soda over 40 years ago. It's a uniquely refreshing taste, not for everyone. You might not want to drink it every day, but it's a must-try. I love it.

This soda is less sweet than most of the syrup- laden sodas available. It's flavor is not one that fits into a standard categories, but has a uniquely refreshing flavor of its own. Both of these attributes are very good things, as is the soda. However, if you have a preconceived idea that it is mandatory that all sodas be over-sweet and have only certain flavors, then, sadly, it is not for you. Obviously, the Bev.net staff fits into this category.

I have been Drinking Dr. Browns sodas since I was a teenager and I am now in my 50's I absolutely love Celray and the Black cherry and well all of there flavors Celray is the crispest cleanest thirst quenching soda I have ever tasted. I just want more of it.

That's what I thought 50 years ago when I first tried it. I buy it whenever I can find it. In California that usually is at a Jewish Deli.

Hey, it's been in existence for years. Somebody must be drinking it. I've personally tried it a few times and found it to be a little "out of the ordinary" but not at all unpleasant. Actually, kind of refreshing. I like it a lot better than cola, that's for sure.

The first time I tasted Dr. Brown's Cel-Ray soda, I thought it was the best soda I'd ever tasted. That was about 40 years ago. Your staff obviously has killed their taste buds with overly sweet things filled with nothing natural.

The first time I heard about it was on Frank Zappa's 'Live at the Filmore East 1971' album and I knew from it's weird sounding name and even weirder sounding flavour that if I ever got to the states I would try me some. A few years later I got the chance to go to New York and was tracking some down basically as soon as I landed. This is the greatest drink on Earth, no question. My inlaws jsust came back armed with a few cans and now my fridge is that little bit sadder (finished the last can this weekend). If we could get the stuff in England I'd make Dr Brown a small fortune.
