Manufacturer's Brand Overview: [Edit]
Coca-Cola North America and Godiva Chocolatier announce the launch of a new line of premium blended indulgent beverages called Godiva Belgian Blends. The new Godiva Belgian Blends beverages provide a revitalizing experience "more decadent than just plain coffee."

Dark Chocolate Mocha
Category: Dairy: Smoothie; Packaging: 9.5 fl oz (281ml) glass
BevNET Review:
Godiva's Dark Chocolate "Belgian Blend" is the best flavor of the brand. It incorporates a stronger chocolate flavor than the Milk Chocolate variety, making it a much more enjoyable product. Still, the chocolate flavor doesn't taste "dark" -- it just tastes like they used a bit more than they did in the Milk Chocolate. The coffee flavor is still weak and we would definitely like more of it. The packaging uses much deeper shades than the other two flavors, making this the most attractive of the litter. It pretties up the stock bottle a good amount, but we'd still like to see something more unique and creative, especially if it's going to live up to the Godiva name.

Milk Chocolate Mocha
Category: Dairy: Smoothie; Packaging: 9.5 fl oz (281ml) glass
BevNET Review:
Milk Chocolate Mocha is a drinkable RTD coffee "blend" that's on par (in terms of quality and refreshment) with Starbucks RTD lattes. In this case, it's using the Godiva name, but there's very little, aside from the label, that feels like a Godiva product. The chocolate flavor is second to the milk and the quality is not good enough to convince us that there is some benefit to having Godiva's name on this product. Coffee is a tertiary flavor and one that could use a bit more strength. Overall, we'd find this product a lot more drinkable if it weren't so heavy on the milk flavor. As for the packaging, it's the same bottle used by Planet Java, Coke's last foray into the RTD coffee category, and it feels just as stark and cheap as it did last time around. The foil label on the bottom portion of the bottle helps, but not enough to overcome the other shortcomings of this product. We don't think this product will make much more than a blip on the radar of Pepsi's Starbuck's Frappuccinos.

French Vanilla Latte
Category: Dairy: Smoothie; Packaging: 9.5 fl oz (281ml) glass
BevNET Review:
Ok, so we've got a chocolate company that originated in Belgium making a French Vanilla Latte. Interesting. That probably won't mean anything to the average US consumer, but the flavor of this product definitely will. Unfortunately, we don't mean in a good way. The vanilla, which isn't very natural tasting, accentuates the milky flavor that was previously cited, resulting in a product that tastes like sweetened burnt milk. The coffee flavor is almost totally muted, even for something that is a latte. Finally, there's the bottle. Again, it's going to be tough for anyone to make the stock bottle look pretty, but the white label doesn't help. Upon first glancing at this product, we thought that it was going to be a diet or light version as white is very often used for those types of products. Either way, our eye was drawn to the other, darker labels first. If we were Coke, we'd try to improve the other flavors and come out with something new in place of this one. Godiva is a chocolate brand -- how about a Chocolate Hazelnut to round out the line?
