Diablo Energy Drink: Diablo Energy Drink

If Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice Cocktail were a carbonated energy drink, it would look and taste like this import from Quebec, which sports white willow bark and ginseng in addition to the usual guarana on its list of ingredients. However they formulate it, it’s a tart, not unpleasant, cranberry-flavored surprise – albeit one with a detectably bitter caffeine aftertaste -- in a field of energy drinks that all seem to draw on the same citrus and bubblegum palate. Diablo sticks with the standard 8 oz energy drink can, but does itself no favors with its unattractive vertical label. They would probably be better served by sticking their trademark red devil on the front, but they’ve still come up with a product that tastes better than Red Bull and its clones any day of the week.
