In many ways, Diesel is on par with Full Throttle, Monster, the handful of other energy drink products that have tried to create an energy drink that has edge but isn't offensive. In this case, it's Diesel, a word that certainly connotes energy but doesn't really make much of a statement otherwise, leaving the consumer to interpret what type of functionality this product might have compared to competing products. The urban industrial design is well composed and has pop, but we could live with out the horsepower and cylinder text as it undermines the seriousness of the brand. The flavor is sweet and potent, with a body that is based on the standard energy drink flavor used by many of the major products. The only downside is the aftertaste, which seems to linger for quite a while. Overall, Diesel is a decent product that doesn't really offer anything new, but it certainly makes for a viable alternative to other potentially higher priced competitors.
