Great start. Lousy finish. This halfhearted effort gave us an instant when we thought Frostie had cracked the diet drink code, as we were awash in notes of creamy, root-y flavor that really reminded us of the real stuff – and then it fell apart into a thin stream of watery splenda so chemically sweet that it actually drowned out the next several sips of the stuff. As for the package, the bottle is a classic squat twist-off with the iconic Frostie guy, and a comparatively large “Splenda” logo stamped prominently onto it. As if you couldn’t tell.
