BevNET Review
While we understand that calling the drink Jamaica (as in “huh-mike-uh”, the hibiscus drink) fits with the soccer theme, this product is really what one would describe as fruit punch with a bite to it. Yes, it has “Hibiscus Punch” as a secondary flavor name, simply calling it “Fruit Punch” would eliminate what we feel is a potentially limiting name. Taste wise, it is actually a pretty nice interpretation of a classic fruit punch flavor, with a light spice to the finish. Despite it being an ingredient, we do not taste any hibiscus in the drink. It is likely washed away by the stevia or the other, more potent flavors in the drink. To us, that’s not a bad thing -- hibiscus should probably be eliminated from the formulation as we can’t imagine that this flavor will help sell the drink. Overall, this is a decent tasting drink and it packs an energy punch, but we think that simplifying both the name and formula would help this product sell.
