From a flavor point of view, Good Belly's Acai flavor is relatively pleasant, with notes of pear, blueberry, raspberry, and acai being the focal points. However, there's a noticeable flavor that's very tart to the point of almost being acidic. This is the direct result of acidic berry flavors and the live active cultures used in the drink. Still, the slight taste of probiotic and vitamin ingredients is much more palatable than the aftertaste of most functional drinks. And as far as probiotic drinks go, we appreciate that it's not as thick as many of the other yogurt based probiotics on the market today. That being said, this is definitely one of the more drinkable varieties that we've sampled. Packaging feels European in style, with a multi pack giving way to smaller 2.7 oz peel top containers. Good Belly isn't shelf stable, so you'll likely see this product in a grocery store. Given the current state of the probiotic market in the US, Good Belly will be right at home.
