Review: Orange Mango (2014)

Orange Mango has been our favorite flavor in the Greater Than lineup for some time now. The formulation appears to have changed slightly since last time we tried it, but it’s still very enjoyable. The flavor is sweet and salty, with a tropical citrus flavor that works nicely with the base of coconut water. One thing that definitely seems improved from the previous formulation is the sugar and stevia blend that the company uses. Specifically, it’s improved to the point where there’s no aftertaste, and you can barely taste the stevia at all. That said, Greater Than Orange Mango “2.0” is definitely a very enjoyable tasting product and one that can hold its own against other sports drinks that are out there. On the packaging and branding front, the product has been given a huge upgrade. The switch to a 16 oz. contour bottle gives the product a very polished and appealing look. It feels much more like a sports drink, while the logo, which resembles a tennis ball, has a more positive and mainstream vibe. Overall, a big upgrade for Greater Than.
