Review: Blueberry Green Tea

We applaud Ito En for taking a stab at a flavored, sweetened tea, as it represents a move towards the American mainstream for a company best known for strong black and green teas. But this one sort of overdoes it, by going too sweet at the cost of its lemon and black tea flavors. The product itself is terrifically high-quality – we smelled lemon and tea, and if you work hard, you can make them out in the taste, once you cut through the layer of sweetness that washes them out. It’s still got an incredibly beautiful shrink wrap label – big lemons on a black background that seem like wallpaper. Good stuff.
