Joia: Orange Jasmine & Nutmeg

Unlike some of the other flavors of Joia that we’ve sampled, this is about as close to a standard soft drink flavor as there is for this brand. Building off a classic orange soda, this product has only subtle notes of jasmine and nutmeg. For the brand, we think that having at least one flavor that’s more traditional in style (as this one is) is a good thing and makes this flavor a great starting point for the curious buyer. In addition, the brand’s use of low calorie sweeteners (erythritol, stevia, and monk fruit) alongside is executed very nicely. The product’s modest calorie count (60 per bottle) and flavor, which has no sweetener taste, is probably one of the best tasting products to ever use a similar sweetener blend. Last, there’s the packaging, which, with a 12 oz. clear glass bottle and a clear label, has an upscale but artisanal vibe. As mentioned in the other reviews, our only concern is the clear label, which makes the text somewhat hard to read. Still, this is a very enjoyable product with execution that’s top notch.
