Little Miracles: Green Tea

The Green Tea variety of Little Miracles Organic Energy is a USDA Organic blend of water, agave, apple juice, lemon juice, pomegranate juice, acai juice, green tea, ginseng, and flavors. Despite saying “organic energy,” which implies that this is an energy drink, the product tastes very much like a tea. And it’s a pretty good one at that, especially with the light note of ginseng and the mild fruit flavors that round things out. The formulation, which has 90 calories and 21g of sugar, seems like a pretty mainstream-oriented blend. On the outside, the product definitely has a unique look to it, starting with the 11.16 oz. bottle. From an aesthetics point of view, it’s nicely-executed, with cleanly arranged text and a metallic band across the middle that gives it some pop. However, we do wonder if some of the words (“Little Miracles” and “Organic Energy”) will imply a drink that is functional to the point of not tasting good. Beyond that, the “energy” isn’t really spelled out for the consumer. Specifically, it should, at a minimum, state how much caffeine is in the product. Finally, the three flavors are, despite having a good taste, are too similar in their flavor profiles. Wider variation might be helpful as this brand attempts to join the U.S. beverage market. Still, this is a very well done drink that just needs a few finishing touches.
