Loaded Energy Drink: Original

Loaded Energy’s “Original” is a high fructose corn syrup sweetened energy drink that has a pleasant citrus berry style flavor. It’s definitely made with a stock formulation -- we have reviewed this exact flavor in other drinks before. Fortunately, it’s at least one of the better energy drink flavors out there. Functionally, it’s more of the same, with 160 mg of caffeine per can alongside B vitamins, ginseng, and amino acids -- pretty much your classic energy cocktail. Visually, the black and white approach to the can is fine and, from a startup perspective, a good way to be cost conscious. There’s nothing wrong with the look, per se, but it doesn’t exactly jump out at you either. The name, Loaded, sounds like a cliche energy drink name, which is compounded by the use of “Premium” and “Original” (neither of which apply to this product). If it’s a value play that they are after, then this product could definitely fit the bill. However, if their intention is to develop a brand, it definitely needs to be more unique.
