Love Birch: Peach Passion

Love Birch’s Peach Passion is a mellow-flavored beverage whose key ingredient is reconstituted organic birch sap. It’s a pretty pleasant tasting product, with a mellow earthy flavor at the base, a touch of fruit flavor, and a light amount of sweetness to the finish. The product’s formulation includes a variety of ingredients that we wouldn’t have expected based on what we tasted, including orange juice, agave and chaga mushroom extract. To that end, we’re not quite sure what the primary selling point of this product will actually be. Is it flavor? Is it birch sap? Something else? From our perspective, it tastes good, but not as good as other fruit-flavored products, so the consumer really needs to see some benefit in birch sap to give this product a try. That’s something that is obviously far from widespread at the moment, so we think that the messaging should emphasize flavor a bit more. In addition, the branding, which is almost exclusively text, could use something a bit more personable that might connect with the consumer. We think it looks a bit too sterile at the moment. Overall, we like the concept, and the product feels like it’s on the right track, despite needing some refinement.
