Continuing its expansion into the global marketplace, Colorado-based New Age Beverages Corp. entered this week into a definitive agreement to acquire Utah-based multi-level marketing company ARIIX and four other international brands, bringing the company’s pro forma revenues to over $500 million with a footprint in 75 countries.

New Age SEC Notice Suggests Major Changes

New Age Beverages Corp. will seek to change its name, dropping the “Beverages” to become “NewAge, Inc.” according to a notice of annual meeting of shareholders filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Monday. The proposed name change comes as the publicly traded company seeks to divest several beverage brands from its portfolio and diversify its product offerings.

After spending much of last year restructuring and rebranding its beverage product portfolio — alongside a December merger with CPG wellness company Morinda — New Age Beverages Corporation reported triple-digit growth in the first quarter of this year, according to an earnings report released Friday.
