Cool Pineapple is cold-pressed and high pressure processed (HPP) blend of pineapple, cucumber, water (10 percent), lemon juice, and lemon oil. The product is light, but sweet, with each of the three core flavors being present in each sip. The use of lemon oil, in addition to lemon juice, gives the product a tart note to the finish. This, along with the water, helps keep the sweetness relatively under control, although the product still has 30g of sugar (and 140 calories) per bottle. But for Naked’s first attempt at cold-pressed/HPP juice, this is definitely a very nicely crafted product. It’s Non-GMO, but not organic, which, even at its price point (about $4), might be an issue in that its main competition is organic. The product comes packaged in a 12 oz. plastic bottle, which is the same round-shaped bottle that you’ll find being used on most products in the category. The Naked branding is present, but it's not the focal point, which might be the company's way of avoiding full on cannibalization of its core line (price point will help that as well). The label is straightforward and clean and it’s pretty obvious that this is a cold-pressed and HPP, rather than pasteurized, juice. Overall, the flavor and packaging might not be tops in terms of that segment of the market, but it’s a huge step above anything that Naked has previously offered.
