Review: Raw Honey & Lemon

Like its previous incarnation as Harmless Harvest 100% Raw Tea, Namacha’s Raw Honey & Lemon variety is a high pressure processed and USDA Organic certified blend of water, honey, tea leaves and lemon juice. The combination of raw tea leaves (which are transported cold, steeped cold and never dried or heated), raw honey and lemon juice is still the closest thing to perfection as ever see in a ready-to-drink beverage. The taste of the tea is bold, but smooth, while the honey gives the product depth of flavor that you don’t typically see in honey-sweetened beverages. What’s also really interesting is that this product, despite being low in caffeine (just like any other green tea beverage), packs some serious kick to it. The slim 10 oz. bottle has a design that, unlike the Raw Tea version, feels very much like a Harmless Harvest product. The Japanese letters and name give it a slightly exotic twist, while the rest of the copy is pretty matter of fact in its approach to explaining what the product is. If there’s any area for improvement, it’s in the accent color -- the yellow is hard to read on the white backdrop. Overall, we very much like the latest rendition of this product -- it’s still one of the best bottles of tea out there.
