The formula is believed to have been used by Benedictine Monks in Mediaeval times. The recipe was rediscovered by Eric St John Foti in the cellars of the ancient Welle Manor, Wisbech in the 1970’s. Original Norfolk Punch is a herbal alternative to mulled wine. It can be served piping hot or can be blended with lemonade to make a refreshing summer cooler.
