Owl's Brew: Coco-Lada

This version of Owl’s Brew blends black tea, coconut pieces, chai spices and agave to create something that’s complex, yet balanced. It’s certainly a mixer that’s very versatile, but, like the company's other flavors, it tastes surprisingly good straight up. The product is slightly tart and moderately sweet, while the chai spices go very nicely with the tropical flavor of the pineapple and coconut flavors. On the visual front, the matte black bottle is something that definitely catches the eye (you don’t see matte black glass too often), while the branding is simple and clean. This definitely plays to the artisanal nature of the product, although you do have to take a close look at the two Owl's Brew varieties to tell them apart. Nevertheless, we think that the shelf presence of the product and what’s inside the bottle will help this product succeed. Overall, a very well-executed and enjoyable product.
